French Plum Silk and Linen Jacket

This jacket and the resulting image is one of my favorites. I was able to position the front panels in such a way that they appear to roll.

The purple silk is a perfect compliment to the humble unbleached linen interior. The two purple running stitches that are revealed with the garment peeled open serve to unify interior and exterior so that one is nothing without the other. If you try to imagine just seeing the purple jacket on the wearer, it is evident how essential the interior details with its hooks and bodice stitching really are.
